I really enjoyed Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
The protagonist was captivating and utterly endearing, and I felt the filmmakers told her story sympathetically and with little judgment. As the parent of young children, I can relate to the parents in this film who, although never shown, are very-much present; they clearly just want their children to retain a culture that is important to them, and to succeed in life, and feel that lots of educational opportunities are the key to that.
While we do see a little girl who has a lot of extra-curricular activities, she is also still very much a little girl, and her love for her family is apparent. I would love to know what she’s up to now!
Beautifully captured.
