What is the Campfire Film Festival?
Australian Film Critics AssociationThe Campfire Film Festival is an annual event that celebrates shortfilm as a means of provoking discussion and debate around meaningful issues. The 2012 Festival is proudly supported by the Australian Film Critics Association (AFCA), with panel discussions around the making and using of shortfilms in the education sector. AFCA will also provide jurors for the judging and awarding of best shortfilms in the categories:
  • Campfire Award (Best Overall Discussion Starter)
  • Best Documentary Short
  • Best Youth Short
  • Best Comedy Short
  • Best Environmental Short

The event also receives support from its cultural partners, Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) and the Victorian Multicultural Commission (under the direction of the Vic. Government Department of Premier and Cabinet).
